Congratulations!

On Wednesday, October 1, 2014, students at St. Mary School traveled to Springfield, Illinois, to attend the Mission Mass at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception.  Bishop Thomas J. Paprocki celebrated the Mass, and many students from around the diocese attended.  October 1st was the Feast Day of St. Therese the Little Flower who is the patron saint of the missions.  After the Mass, awards were given to five schools for their exemplary contributions to the missionary effort.  The awards were based on per capita donations to the Missionary Childhood Association during the 2013-2014 school year.  St. Mary School won second place honors!  We received a certificate and a cross for our kindness to the missions around the world.
