Grandparents/Senior Friends Day is Friday, April 7 at 1:30pm at the Brussels American Legion. Reminder that all students need to go home with a Grandparent or Senior Friend.
The Scholastic Book Fair will start on April 3 and run thru April 11 on the stage. The special is buy one book, get the second book free. The books will be on the stage and the book fair will be open before school 8:00am- 8:30am, during recess 11:50am-12:10pm, and after school 3:15pm-3:45pm. Other hours can be arranged if you call the school beforehand. **Please call Stacey Grimes if you are interested in helping to work a shift at the book fair.**
The 2nd Graders of Blessed Trinity Parish will have a retreat to prepare them for the Sacrament of First Eucharist on Saturday, April 29 from 9:00am-12noon in the SMS Auditorium. First Eucharist is scheduled for Saturday, May 6 at 6:30pm at St. Mary Church.
A flyer from Fischer's Uniform in St. Peters, MO, was sent home with students. Fischer's is having a 10% discount on all orders paid in full during the week of May 8 thru May 13. You can also register to win a $50 gift certificate - this is only in the St. Peters, MO, store.
Uniform shorts may once again be worn beginning April 3! Please check all students' uniforms for wear, tear and FIT. SMS policy states, "All clothes are to be neat, clean, and mended. Skirts should be no shorter than 3 inches above the knee and must be worn at the waist. Shorts should be walking (longer) shorts.
PreK to 4th grade will travel to the St. Louis Science Center on April 26. The bus will leave at 8:00am. All students and parents who are riding the bus should arrive in time for the early departure. The 5th thru 8th grade field trip will be announced later.
St. Mary School 2017-2018 Tuition Policy was sent home with students in the newsletter. There are TWO copies - one copy should be completed and returned to the school office. SMS uses these forms to budget enrollment for next school year. PLEASE return one copy as soon as possible to help us plan for next year.
Tuition Assistance for grades 1st thru 8th is available for the 2017-2018 school year. If you are interested, please call the school for an application. There are a few changes to the Tuition Assistance Program. The deadline for applications is April 29.
Our annual yearbook will be available after school is out for this year. We wanted to have First Eucharist and Confirmation photos in the yearbook. Please check the church bulletin for more information. There will be a note coming home soon on the cost of the yearbook and order form.
Mrs. Paynic asked if any Little League students need verification for age/grade/proof of residency they bring the forms in as soon as possible.
